Bi-vocational & bi-locational Southern Baptist pastor serving the Lord in Eastern NC. Trying to sow gospel seeds and working in the harvest. Not a fan of injustice, bigotry, and hate.

From Etihad's "RESPONSE TO CLAIMS RAISED ABOUT STATE-OWNED AIRLINES" filed with the US gov. in 2015. "The assertion that the Abu Dhabi government paid for Etihadโ€™s sponsorship of English Premier League football club Manchester City is [...] false".

The assertion that the Abu Dhabi government paid for Etihadโ€™s sponsorship of English Premier League football club Manchester City is equally false. In 2011, Etihad and Manchester City entered into a 10 year sponsorship agreement, which included naming rights for Manchester Cityโ€™s stadium. Etihad funded this sponsorship from its own liquidity. It is not uncommon for airlines to have sponsorships with sports teams and their venues.

Jack Smith: "History teaches that the rule of law is rarely destroyed all at once. It's often weakened by attacks on the institutions and the public servants sworn to uphold it. Since January 2025, we have witnessed precisely such an effort."

Klobuchar has Schmitt dead to rights: "The game in fact was in Maryland. For a senator to have false information & imply, based on confusion about name of a team, that you were in another city & somehow involved that day in what was happening in Georgia & call you a 'dirtbag' deserves an apology"

"Feels like I'm watching Mr. Fox brag about his trainings on hen house maintenance." Glad to be quoted here. Rice's words ring hollow. They're a tactic of institutional image management & smoke screen for the reality of how little Southern Baptist leaders actually do. roysreport.com/sbc-presiden...

Hardly a new song but today as good as any to reiterate the Glazer takeover should never have been allowed, was/is indicative of woefully inadequate regulation in English football and continues to cast a very long shadow and now, more than ever, impacts #MUFC ability to compete

#MUFC enjoyed record turnover, lowest wages to revenue ratio in 18 years and improved underlying results last season, even without Champions League football. But losses and debt were up and cash remains squeezed. Initial analysis here @theathleticfc.bsky.social www.nytimes.com/athletic/762...
