idk if it's because of an update with macos or davinci resolve but I now have a solid second of delay whenever I try to pause playback and it's like editing through sludge I hate it

vaguely related but god I feel like I was such a sucker for buying into both SMX and Exa Arcadia then getting burned super hard by both of them. kudos to the arcade folks who had to put up with me begging for a board that cost just as much as a whole ass rhythm game cab just bc I thought it was Neat

commodore 64 games will be called Here Comes Mister Penis! and they will be an extremely mid metroidvania where the health bar is an anatomically correct human skeleton that takes up half the screen and the music will be the sickest prog rock you've ever hesrd

so far the worst part of going back to XP has been adjusting to waiting ages when copying files around I'd have to assume it was always like this and I'm just spoilt by newer computers but yeesh I wish there was a faster way to do this

copying BOF 2006 (a 2gb zip file which I'll have to extract later), says it will take 27 minutes and that's after already copying a chunk of it

had a dream that I was playing a car game and there was a set of levels in [facist dictatorship that likes to spend a lot of money promoting itself as a cool tourist destination and buying game companies] but then every one of the missions was just finding new ways to smash into the dictators car

www.gofundme.com/f/fund-expen... Hey! We have the last Aerosmith: Quest For Fame in the world. We're trying to crowdfund to cover the expenses to preserve it. This is a unique piece of rhythm game history, and we plan to place it in a public arcade! Any support would be wildly appreciated!

alright I think this thing is getting linuxed today, any suggestions for distros that were around circa 2001? It's got a 1ghz athlon and 256mb of ram for reference

A picture of my old PC setup

unfortunately discovered today that windows 2000 isn't very good at playing back video files, seems like that XP upgrade might be happening soon

windows media player (6) couldn't open the file because "the format is not supported"
I think it's a codecs issue but even after installing a codec pack it couldn't play back either an mp4 or avi so I just gave up and decided to complain about it on social media

once again asking for book recommendations, anything nonfiction dealing with game/anime/internet history would be appreciated but also anything you personally found interesting and can vouch for
