whew my download is finally done. can't believe I can finally play FFXIV on the Switch!
i like pubg a lot as a game and a concept but god it is crazy that the game will just put you in matches with people who have been playing nonstop since 2017
idk why i downloaded xiv on the switch i would never pay another sub just to play it on controller + without animation lock fix
i actually can't believe Twitch is still a thing lol like i popped open a stream and 30 secs in it hit me with 3 minutes of ads. alright then i mute the tab i go do something else. i forgot about the stream and tabbed back in and watched maybe 15 seconds before getting hit with another 3 mins of ads

[Nintendo Switch™ 2 Version] Regarding an Issue Where It May Take Some Time for the Screen to Come Back to Life After Going Dark During Gameplay (8/5)
We have confirmed that in the Nintendo Switch™ 2 version, the download may take longer than usual when screen goes dark within the content.
Our investigation has confirmed that when players enter a content area while surrounded by a large number of characters, data loading within that content takes longer than usual from the moment they enter until they exit. When this phenomenon occurs, the delay is particularly noticeable in the following situations:
・When the screen fades to black during a battle phase transition or when you are teleported to a different map within a dungeon
・When the screen fades to black upon revival after being defeated within a dungeon
・When the screen fades to black after using Warp or the Aethernet within a dungeon
Regarding this issue, we have confirmed that in some cases, the data reloading and cache clearing processes required for safe rendering are taking an extended amount of time. We have therefore further optimized these processes to ensure faster data loading even under similar conditions, and we are currently testing the updated program.
We are working to release an update as soon as possible to address this and several other issues, so we ask for your patience until the issue is resolved.
