Time for a sabbatical. Hope to return at some point when life settles down again.

Today I learned a very hard lesson. Just because a co-worker was once your friend doesn't meant they won't screw you over in a heartbeat once they become part of management.

Apparently, my employer has an unwritten rule that anytime I attain even a mild degree of job satisfaction, they will mobilize the entire institution to crush that as quickly and mercilessly as possible.

We concluded our #BlairWitchProject tour, appropriately, by hiking out to the former location of Rustin Parr's house at Patapsco Valley State Park near Granite, MD. Unfortunately, the Griggs House, which dated from the mid-19th century, was demolished in the early 2000s. 1/3

Finding where Heather, Josh, and Mike encounter the forest of hanging stickmen in #BlairWitchProject was a challenge. Online directions were maddeningly imprecise, but we narrowed in on a wooded area about a 10-minute drive from Seneca Creek State Park and just...went into the woods. 1/3

Coffin Rock from #BlairWitchProject is about a 10-15 minute hike from the main parking area at Seneca Creek State Park. Just follow the beautiful little trail along the southern side of the creek. 1/4

Really good trolling would be to go see Picnic at Hanging Rock with some friends and then 35 minutes in get up and leave the theater and disappear and never be seen again by anyone in their entire life

Much of #BlairWitchProject was filmed in and around Seneca Creek State Park near Gaithersburg, MD. Across the distinctive rock outcropping where the filmmakers interview the two fishermen, a fallen tree now rests and would not clear my shot! 1/4

We spent a night at the Hillside Hotel in Knoxville, Maryland, where Heather, Josh, and Mike stayed in #BlairWitchProject. We called ahead to reserve the actual room they stayed in and were told, "you got it." When we arrived, however, they said we couldn't have that room. 1/2
