People have asked: Isn't it a good thing for people to elect their judges? 1. Not necessarily. Republicans want to buy judges. Look at what happened in Wisconsin. Republicans spent 100 million dollars to try and win supreme court seat. They lost. But $100 million, 20 of them from Elon Musk. Bad.

In 2022, Kris Kobach said doing exactly this would let Kansas “slowly and quietly” put anti-abortion judges on the court. Now it’s on the ballot. If you know somebody in Kansas, they should know this is going on.
