These death masks of Isaac Newton, Oliver Cromwell and John Keats are doing my head in a little. It’s not like seeing a photo or a painting, there’s a real sense a physical person. They were hiding on a bottom shelf in the wonderfully eccentric Wisbech and Fenland Museum. Well worth a visit.

Delighted to be interviewed by and performing with pedal steel guitarist Joe Harvey-Whyte for his ambient show The Dream Stream on Soho Radio tonight at 10pm UK Time. Joe’s an incredible player, it was a joy. The show will be available online shortly afterwards, I’ll post a link. #ambient

The BBC are accidentally running the subtitles to Mrs Marple over the Mercury Prize, and it’s rather wonderful. A few of lines could plausibly have been written by Jarvis.

This collaboration between Nils Frahm and Robert de Niro is currently playing on 6 Music. A 15 minute mixture of grainy folk orchestra and spoken word. Absolutely stunning.

If you’re a creator or work in the creative industries or otherwise have a heart, then please add your voice to this UK Gov consultation on AI and Copyright. I said ‘freelance’ for company and ‘unsure’ for super-granular legal stuff but made my voice heard. You can too. www.gov.uk/government/c...

Copyright and Artificial Intelligence

This consultation seeks views on how the government can ensure the UK’s legal framework for AI and copyright supports the UK creative industries and AI sector together.

Today’s adventure in crisp land: KFC flavoured crisps from Germany. Like regular Walkers chicken crisps with a sachet of black pepper per crisp. Oddly compelling.
