This is a fundamental asymmetry of American politics. Imagine a Democrat talking about rural America this way. And yet somehow the conventional wisdom is that Democrats are mean and condescending to rural voters and is based completely on vibes

Trump: "Look at the blue cities. What do they have in common? They're all dirty. They're filthy dirty. Their streets are dirty. Their streets smell. Their storefronts are broken. Their trees are all gross. Everything about the place is dirty. It's really all of them."

When that rich kid plead not guilty and his defense was that he was insane because he was rich - "affluenza" - people laughed it off as a rich kid trying to get off, and it was, but I feel like we missed an opportunity for a mainstream discourse about how being rich literally poisons your brain

Once you have a lot of money it becomes easier to get more money by doing nothing, which disincentivizes work. This is why all our billionaires post insane bullshit all day. If they had to work they'd be too busy to act like this, doubly benefiting society

I'm not joking when I say that the low level staff around him are in legitimate danger. I would place a decent bet that at least one of them is going to be indicted by Trump's Justice Department for messing up his lighting as an act of communist sabotage or something before this is all over.

Trump complains his chair is shorter than a member of his cabinet: "They gave me the lowest seat I've ever sat in."

My guess is McConnell is alive just in much worse shape than they're saying. I just can't imagine that it's possible to hide the corpse of a Senator without it leaking, especially because there's no overwhelming or even significant advantage to them doing so.
