It's our birthday — Save up to 40%!

Pimoroni began back in 2012 with the aim of selling laser cut acrylic cases for the Raspberry Pi. Yes, in 2012 our Pibow cases were our first and only product. Fast forward to 2026, and we're now 14 ...

@m1geo.com Built and working. I got some 3/16" bolts which seem to be holding it ok, but the PCB will not sit flush with the case due to the height of the connector. I'll try trimming it down a bit.

@m1geo.com 80m Inverted L fed against the car and one radial. It took me all 90 minutes to do one pass up the band for a grand total of 37 contacts. Everyone I called came back to be so I'm pleased with that :-)

I've spent some time over the last few days translating some FORTRAN code into ALGOL-60. The code came from an example for the IBM 1401 FORTRAN compiler. It used various array addressing "tricks" to access a matrix and a vector that made the translation very tricky. Not a good example in my view.

Today we had the Elliott 803 doing some FFTs and Inverse FFTs on X and Y coordinates of some line drawings. Progressively removing higher order spectrum components produced some interesting effects.

Some fault finding on a virtual Elliott 803 emulated at the logic gate level. Two of the timing pulses were occurring at the same time !

That thing where you google an error message and find the solution in a forum posting from six months ago when you last had the same problem. 🤦‍♂️
