Neuroscientist studying midbrain circuits & motivated behaviors 🔎🧠🐭 Neuropeptides | Parental Behavior | Parkinson Disease EMBO postdoctoral fellow PostDoc @UCBerkeley - Lammel Lab PhD @UniBonn - Remy Lab

Day 3 at #wcbr2025 - lots of dopamine, acetylcholine, dorsal and ventral striatum, midbrain circuits and motivated behaviors. Learning so much from such a diverse group of scientists from single dendrite in vivo 2P imaging to high density recordings and modeling 🧠🤯 the field is moving so fast!

Thrilled to share that I’ve been awarded an EMBO postdoctoral fellowship to study nigrostriatal axon regeneration and Parkinson’s disease in the Lammel lab at UC Berkeley 🧠🔬 Grateful for this amazing opportunity and excited to join the EMBO fellows community! 🤩

🦋 Excited to share our newest preprint! 🧠 In this study, we explored the neuronal heterogeneity of the mouse medial septum and diagonal band of Broca using scRNA-Seq + validated our findings by comparing them to a MERFISH dataset from the Allen Brain Atlas. 1/n www.biorxiv.org/content/10.1...

Neuronal heterogeneity in the medial septum and diagonal band of Broca: classes and continua

The medial septum and diagonal band of Broca (MSDB) is known for its diverse populations of cholinergic, GABAergic, and glutamatergic neurons, each contributing to various cognitive processes. However...
