Ice cream van heard, second one in the last few weeks, this one is playing "O Sole Mio"/"Just one Cornetto" on the chimes. It's branded YumTreats Mr Whippy and there are Disney characters on the back, not even hand drawn, always a bit disappointing. Bring back Mykee Mouse and Ronald The Duck

An email arrived today from a group that clearly hadn’t read the submissions page and yet the email started with a reference to its opening paragraph. It’s reasonable to assume that the band’s music is generated by AI too, or at best, a lazy effort.

Occasionally I still hear an execrable song that I presume from context (supermarket PAs, passing cars, distant celebrations…) must have been a “hit” a few years ago. A line of dreary lament followed by another of louder, but still incomprehensible, whining. NO variation. Disturbing and baffling.
