My wife has set all the internal lighting to our house to "Submarine on red alert" red. She's on a call so I can't ask how it's going but maybe it is a clue…

One of our outdoor temperature sensors has had enough. The other one says 36.8°C
TIL that I've been using correct degrees symbol for years, despite picking it arbitrarily from several that look similar. On my mac it is option+shift+8, °
Cat wasn’t bothered by sudden sun weakness but I saw lots of disturbed birds flying past making a racket
The giant reflector has kept the inside of the house 5°C below the outside through the hottest part of the day. To put that into perspective, our air conditioner did the same but used about £6 of electricity per day to do it. Tomorrow will likely involve using both.
I have to remember to wait for the fibre installer, today. I am definitely going to forget.

I can't hear Marlow FM on 97.5MHz, not sure when that vanished, I don't have any automatic monitoring in place.
What's fascinating about this is that the 737 was designed in 1964, the year America went a bit car crazy with the Impala and Mustang, modern cars that eschewed the fins of the 1950s. Look at this thing, it's their old plane, but covered in fins.
Congratulations Boeing on FAA certification of the 737-7 MAX! Looking forward to tracking it in airline service soon.
This is a weird post - I need to locate someone who does backend or app dev AT or FOR Amazon. I think there is a bug in the delivery notification system (eg. the driver says they delivered the package and then you get an email saying that it was left in a place) that could help a LOT of people...
I'm considering calling BT so I can listen to the hold music again because I didn't search the title of one of the tracks and it's stuck in my head.
One of the reasons I like being on a few social media platforms but posting different things on each is that sometimes topics converge through entirely separate routes. Talking about weights and measures in replies to two different people for completely separate reasons at almost the same time.

Just found someone's lost drone by going to where the drone was lost with a handheld spectrum analyser and then… waiting for the wind to blow the drone out of the tree.
Ice cream van heard, second one in the last few weeks, this one is playing "O Sole Mio"/"Just one Cornetto" on the chimes. It's branded YumTreats Mr Whippy and there are Disney characters on the back, not even hand drawn, always a bit disappointing. Bring back Mykee Mouse and Ronald The Duck
Today's silent FM community station, once again, Flex FM on 101.4MHz
I often think of the time I blew my physics teacher's mind by pointing out that alternating current spends half a cycle flowing from the power source to the load and half a cycle flowing from the load to the power source and that's why it's called alternating current.
Simply put misdirected Royal Mail post intended for a different person in a different road with a different postcode back into the postbox and wait one week for it to turn up again. Why are they so bad at this?
Watching Reels on FB and came across an American girl, showing a huge basement full of her late grandparents collections, of many things. I couldn't even get half of them in the pic, but this is a part of his insulator collection. Soooooo jealous!
