When I first started making music and noise, I would just record overdubs straight over whatever I had, without the option to edit or remix the material. Now I've gone back to this method.

As a kid I imagined that Brian Johnson from AC/DC has a speaking voice that resembles his singing voice - huge disappointment when I found out.

In the past, if you wanted to be a singer (like Bob Dylan, Robert Plant, Tom Waits, Pavarotti), you had to use a silly voice, because hearing your own voice is too uncomfortable. But nowadays you can use autotune or glitch fx to make your voice silly for you. It’s still silly, just in a new way.
