The Strategic Tape Reserve, based in the Penedès region of Catalonia, is a fully independent organization dedicated to the responsible dissemination of ferric cassette materials.
I like when people announce that a piece of music has field samples in it but you can’t actually recognize anything in there as field samples. It’s like when you’re eating food and someone tells you there’s celery in it and you’re like “Whaaat?” It feels sophisticated.
When someone is about the listen to music, you should always say “Have a good listen!” If you don’t, it can seem like you don’t care about them, which is bad manners.
Maybe the internet itself is the computer virus.
The electronic music producers know I keep a massive excel file listing all the songs that contain synthesisers in them and that’s why they’re now trying to discredit me with their obscene lies!
A weakness of music is that, more than other art forms, it is overlaid on the listener’s present reality. Even when listening to really immersive music, where you are, what you are doing, who you are with, whether you’ve eaten a good breakfast, all contribute to how you experience that music.

John Lennon challenged us to “imagine all the people”, but having met loads of people, this is pretty easy. Maybe a 2 on the difficultly scale. But music has progressed and now bands set a higher bar, asking us to imagine dragons, mythical beasts that very few of us have seen.
I’ve never learned what the term “extended technique” means. People have said it to me and I’ve frowned or nodded knowingly depending on their tone. I thought about looking it up a few times but decided that this would be worse than not knowing it to begin with. Please DON’T tell me what it is.
Wildberries would have been a good artist name for a circa-2010 ambient guitar solo project who later went on to become a COVID skeptic.
The period after the sound stops at the “end” of the track is technically still part of the music. The music continues during any silence on the tape or CD and then after that, goes on for the duration of cosmic existence.
Even if you have never released a piece of music, you can still use AI to generate download codes to give to people, which is another cool example of how this technology is democratizing art.
When I tell someone “You sound like a broken record“, I’m using the phrase to indicate that I think they sound really cool.

the more holes music has in it the better it is. example: digital files = 0 holes (not great) cds/vinyl = 1 hole (fine) cassettes = 2-9 holes (great/maximum great)
