Is It a hot take to suggest that Pauline Ferrand-Prévot could be in amazing form given that she only lost 2 minutes while having this form on the bike? That's the same time or better than plenty of riders who looked far more comfortable than her on a TT bike. #TDFF2026
It's crazy living through the mass, collective and willful self delusion everyone in Ireland is having over Glen Hansard. Endless hagiographies and any mention of his relationship with a 13yo girl immediatly shut down.
A nich consequence but RIP to the inbox of every public sector archaeological heritage management organisation. Bad enough managing spurious interpretation from fantasists with access to real aerial data as it is. Soon they're going to be flooded with end to end nonsense.
socmot@socmot.bsky.social · 5d agoThis is absolutely insane. I used to work in software dev for a GIS (geographic information services / mapping) company. Google provided some of the base map layers. The internet and the development of genuinely useful web applications is dying - it's sort of generative horseshit that is killing it.
Top 3 worst ever cycles there I think. 102km in total, felt grand for the first 40km. By 50km it was a bit of a struggle, the last 40km were just hell. Could barely turn the pedals by the time i arrived and ended up averaging 19kph because of how slow I was crawling.
Isn't it weird how alleging dodgy behaviour when someone is alive is met with threats of defamation lawyers and doing it when they're dead is undignified and unfair. It's almost as if, stay with me on this, people just don't want to know.
I wonder if part of this is that these protests were labelled as farmers protests because that's a magic labelling in ireland, but were full of people who weren't farmers at all. Like there were some there of course but I dont think it was the majority

Wildfires breaking out in France. Including in Mélisey in the east where a house and woodland has burned. One local has been helping to fetch water from nearby lakes to fire crews... and he's won a Monument, been on the podium in the Tour de France etc, via www.estrepublicain.fr/environnemen... (🇫🇷)

Consistently having a satellite rider in the break and 3 or 4 domestiques regularly in the last third of some ferocious last week mountain stages, in a team with Cees Bol and Olav Kooji, is nothing short of remarkable. Just an outstanding team performance. #TdF2026
