Spent an hour with Claude trying to solve a HMR issue with Vite and Solid. Turns out it's not a bug... The Solid Vite plugin just resets and replaces updated components and their children. Parent components remain untouched so at least it's not a full page refresh.

I was just listening to a Einstürzende Neubauten album. At one point a percussive metallic sound comes in and I thought "woah this sounds so real, the pattern is so organic and off tempo, so experimental!". Turns out it was just a construction crew hammering something a couple of houses away...

The Dish (2000) is probably my favourite Sam Neil movie. It's a low budget Australian film based on a true story.

I was looking at the @tanstack.com docs for Start and quite frankly this is insane. Not only is verbatimModuleSyntax extremely common these days... but how is it even possible for the user do anything that can leak server code into the client?

That helps explain why big media, always the handmaiden of power, works so hard to frame climate concern as some fey, boutique, out-of-touch elite concern. They don't want you to know that other people are concerned too. If you knew that, you might organize & push for change! And so we get this:
