HM King Piers of Peterborough, Emperor of East Anglia. An original piece by the author. I like secateurs. Cats, woodwork, metalwork, gardening and whimsy. If you don’t create, you can only consume. Nominally editor of Complete Car Builder magazine.
I’m in bed and the window is open to cool things down. I’ll have to close it before I sleep or I’ll get eaten alive. Sleep tight, little fishes. N’night.
Ah, Portishead. Your Dummy is always there when I need to properly unwind, find myself.
I’ve killed all my dating operations. I just wasn’t feeling it and I’m not in the right place right now. I was just meeting women that I didn’t really fancy, having long conversations about nothing at all really, and then leaving feeling like I’d missed something. Where is the excitement? None.
I’ve bought the cider but it seem unlikely I’ll be awake at 7pm to drink it. 💤
Fran seems to be very resourceful in a heatwave! A secondary bonus is you won’t have to share your drinking water!
This is Fran. She decided to make you a bowl of her famous bean soup. The secret ingredient is toe beans. 13/10 (TT: franfrannoodles)
Might buy some cider, as I’m wont to do of a Wednesday in a ritual known as midweek cider.
I’ve had a lovely short nap. Cassie is bothering me again. I think she’s bulking up for the winter.

Pianists! You won’t get many letters typed until you feed in the paper. (One from the 70s there)
I might have to make a washer or two, can’t excuse the expense of buying a pack of 100 that I’ll never use again.
My arms are slick and wet and for the first time in months that’s not sweat. Rain. Proper rain. It won’t last, but for the few minutes it is here, bliss.
What a selfish baby, abandoning this man. Very old baby, too.
But first, right now, there is a 60% chance of rain for the next hour and if that transpires I want to be here to revel in it.
I think I’m going to do the Houghton Mill to St Ives circular. It’s the right walk for a breezy, cloudy day.
I’ve a free day today, no responsibilities and nothing planned. I might pack up and go for a long walk. It feels like it’s been too long. And strangely, I think I know just the walk I want to do.
