How can we predict ecosystems that don't exist yet? Our new paper led by @westobymark.bsky.social in @ausjbotany.bsky.social uses state-and-transition models to explore how ecosystems could change by 2100 under warming, rising CO₂, altered fire regimes, reduced livestock and new gene technologies.
