Can anyone help? This was pointed out to me earlier today, up on the list of Rectors of St Helen's Church, Mareham-Le-Fen, Lincolnshire Notably - Rev. John Price 1647 who has his name appended with the description "Presbyterian Intruder" . Can anyone offer any other Churches with a similar record?

Following my earlier post about the storms last night. I happily count among my various friends some serious amateur meteorologists (they'll equally wear the term "weather geeks" with pride) There is currently only ONE subject among them today, & that is "Did you see what happened over Somerset?!"

Went for a dog walk earlier, and also managed to take a beautiful red kite for a walk along with us. Now I'm not self-centered enough to think it was the least bit interested in either me or Myia, but for about 10 minutes our routes aligned, with the kite swooping back & forth over our heads.

Why do the people who want to remove or ban certain types of books from libraries, so often have the general aura / vibe of a person who has never willingly stepped foot inside a library in their life? Just an observation.

I really want an English Civil War reenactment event, only there's no fighting... There's just a butter cross, A Royalist High Church Bishop (with entourage) , Presbyterians, Radical Puritans and a knot of Ranters arguing voting rights, land ownership and wealth redistribution.

For #FindsFriday, I'm gifting you this fantastic Bronze Age felled tree we’ve just excavated from #Skipsea in Holderness. The marks of the socketed bronze axe are clearly visible, and the thud of the axe is almost audible. Used - we think - as a post, perhaps for a trackway.

Maybe obvious, but this JUST occurred to me... With better / faster transportation, & consistent refrigeration from farm to shop to consumer. It's been bloody years since I had a bottle of milk 'turn' Realised this today as instead of free running white stuff I "poured" a lump of cheese into a cup.

I have spent EIGHT YEARS working at Peterborough library, because that's where the inquests are. Tomorrow, at 2:30pm, I am going to TELL EVERYONE all about what I found. Plz come, John Clare Theatre inside the library, £5 on the door.

I once visited here, and found it in fog so thick I nearly walked smack into the side of a grazing cow! Weirdly the cow didn't seem too perturbed by this, in fact it did that hoppy skip cows do and proceeded to follow me around my walk of the foggy hillfort like an excitable 1,200lb puppy!
