I’m glad they gave you a smile

I was feeling the cold sad ickies to the point where I needed to realign and resynchronize my mindset. I watched a numerous amount of cute cat videos and now I am feeling much needed warm happy fuzzies.

Speaking as someone who saw the self-harm Perez Hilton video live and came across it again on other sites (iykyk), if you haven't seen it yet, please don't watch it. Utterly horrifying is the only way to describe it. Regardless of who someone is, I hope they are able to get the help they need.

Hoping that a discharge from the hospital will happen soon. Or, as soon as possible. For the second day in a row, I broke down and cried. While I am thankful for the care I am receiving and grateful for access to it, I'm sad and scared that I am ICU in-patient for the second thing this year.

Focusing on the good. Late at night with a cup of hot herbal tea and Pokémon, as I am covered in an extra blanket for warmth. Small comforts, in whatever way they present themselves, are always welcomed.

Fragments of unseen happiness... I see this and I see particles representing joy coming together to form tangible happiness that are meant to be seen.

#MondayMotivation to move through it. While I am sad (I was crying this morning) that I am not where I want to be, I still have plenty to be thankful and grateful for with small comforts. Focusing on the good things that make me happy, so I continue wanting to live as I am trying not to die.

I feel this in every way imaginable...and I say this as someone who was pinned down and almost died during the failed coup in Instanbul back in 2016. At that time, I didn't think anything wilder would ever take place. Little did I know that it was the beginning of a decade that wouldn't end.

As much as I appreciate what art therapy ✍️ has done for me, this is what I need to heal me. A blend of a Chinese imperial palace 🏯 and a European medieval castle 🏰 with a moat and drawbridge, a grand library 📚, an art 🎨 and architecture 📐studio, a gaming 🎮🕹️🃏🀄🎲🎯🧩 and LEGO 🧱 room, and a dragon 🐉.

Off to the virtual cinema 📽️🎞️🍿, with the historians. Tonight, high end art crime heist 🖼️ with a side of romance 💘 is on the agenda, with the "The Thomas Crown Affair". As someone in cultural heritage, I have so many thoughts about this entertaining film and how it depicts art crime 🕵🏻‍♀️. #HATM

I find myself leaning more towards things and places that I loved when I was a child, more and more so. Making art for myself for joy... Shifting back into arcade gaming, LEGO, and books more than ever...Embracing New York Or Nowhere, as I am yearning for Hong Kong...

Highly recommend the Redwall series. I first got into it through an animated series I watched years ago that aired in PBS. As soon as I found out that they were based on books, I went to my local libraries to check them out to read. I was so happy when I saw that the NYPL and the QPL had them.

Happy Friday everyone, as promised, here is my personal theory on this. I think Redwall takes place in our world, after an apocalyptic event of the nuclear variety caused rapid but varied growth of all animals, including humans, leading to our extinction and their mental development. Okay? 🧵
