in 1920, agents from the Baldwin-Felts detective agency descended upon the town of Matewan, West Virginia to evict families from company-owned houses of the Stone Mountain Coal Company. The mayor and sheriff confronted them; the detectives shot the mayor and the sheriff in turn shot the detectives.
MATEWAN is film that all of you should watch. It's a masterpiece that's more relevant now than it was in 1987.
