I think I'm done with Archipelago. If someone comes up with an alternative that doesn't allow ai slop to be used in the development of the games for it, great. But until then, I can't feasibly see any path that the devs and mods are willing to take to save the integrity of AP at this point.

I'm genuinely in tears right now because genAI is fucking ruining gaming left and right and the whole industry is industry is turning into a slop filled nazi bar, and now NOW the one solace I had in Archipelago doing a/syncs with friends is now fucking part of the AIslop bar.
More and more archipelago worlds are being vibe coded and I am just losing any and all interest in keeping up to date with it. I don't even feeling like maintaining my own ones anymore
This genuinely breaks my heart seeing vibe coding infect Archipelago like this, especially ESPECIALLY seeing the lead dev of AP having shitty pro-AI takes.

WA is on fire and I haven't been able to go to work this week due to the air quality being too hazardous for me. I'm stuck in my apt while my feed shows the horrific damage to areas very close to me. Feeling the worst mixture of anxiety and depression.
