The enduring irony of Reagan’s destructive tenure is that so many Americans, left, right and center, consider him to have been a great American leader. His trickle down policies created the still-growing wealth disparities in our country and spawned the slow destruction of all safety nets.
TESLA: A shitty company that loses money and makes bad cars that blow up. TWITTER: A shitty platform that ruined civil discourse and loses money. SPACEX: A shitty company whose rockets explode and only survived thanks to government welfare. WALL STREET: "OMG! Elon Musk is a business genius!!!!!"
The real welfare queen in America is Jeff Bezos, worth $279 billion, who pays wages so low his workers rely on food stamps and Medicaid while he sailed on his $500 million yacht to his $55 million wedding to give his wife a $5 million ring because his tax rate is less than 1%.
This explains Donald’s approval rating better than anything: A third of our country is both stupid and belligerent.

Wonderful irony. 250 years ago we left for America and freedom to escape a tyrant King. Now we have an enlightened king coming to speak out against a tyrant president.
My beef with #Bezos. 20 years ago, Bezos aided me in publishing one of my first books. Now he is worth millions. He also takes most of the profits of every book I sell on Amazon. I'm grateful...and pissed. My brain drain flows straight into his profits...and his profligate lifestyle. Thoughts?
My greatest annoyance with DC politics and Rump is that they suck all the energy out of the global psyche. We need to start ignoring them. And live our lives. Not theirs.

I’m listening to seasoned reporters talk about how frightened they were during the shooting at the White House Correspondents Dinner last night and imagining how much worse it is for America’s children. If there’s ever been a time to pass sensible gun control laws, it’s now.

Trump gave Iran the opportunity to close the Strait of Hormuz. He put them in a position of power. All of the consequences, including the economic ones, are uniquely his fault.
