I don't have hills to die on, but I feel rawther strongly about this (👇🏻), especially in notes sections and bibliographies that are still, as many do not anymore, including publisher locations that can't be set city-only.

#copyediting tutorial Those two-letter all-cap state abbreviations (ME, NY, CA, FL, GA, SC, etc.) are fine for envelopes and parcels. For all other uses, please avail yourself of the tried and true human-looking abbreviations: Me., N.Y., Cal. or Calif., Fla., Ga., S.C., also etc.

I’m in a bookstore now. This shelf holds books from publishers affected by the russian attack on August 1, when eight million books were destroyed. The bookstore is asking people to buy their books. I wanted to remember this shelf.

I read to understand reality. Now, when I speak to my father who hates reading and always told me to read less and experience more, he says one of his biggest faults was hating reading. He's only saying this because the things I've learned challenged his worldview...
