A picture of an unidentified Capcom Japan programmer working on Breath of Fire III for PlayStation. You can see part of the Cedar Woods intro with Rei, Ryu, and the Currs. This is a still taken from the Capcom Friendly Club CFC Style VHS Vol. 1 (May '96), given out to club members.

Looks like the Capcom CFC Style May 1996 Fan Club VHS is making the rounds on the internet. It's been online for a long time, but this is the 1st time somebody translated it. My favorite is this image of a Breath of Fire III programmer, seemingly running the game on some arcade dev unit???
With the latest Capcom unit sales data bump, the Breath of Fire series' lifetime 3.5 million units sold remains sandwiched between Final Fight and Sengoku Basara.
The Breath of Fire series’ lifetime sales have increased from 3.3 million units sold to 3.5 million units sold, per Capcom! 💰 The 200,000 unit increase is no doubt thanks to Breath of Fire IV’s PC re-release on GOG and Steam. Keep up the good work, BoF fans! 🔥
Crying, screaming, begging for people to be better at reading comprehension on social media.

Nice little uptick for Breath of Fire thanks to that Breath of Fire IV GOG/Steam re-release. What a shocker: making one of the five games ACTUALLY purchasable on a modern platform makes the number go up!?!?!?!? Now go do it with I, II, III, and V. Hell, remaster/port all of them.

🔥 32nd Anniversary 🔥 Breath of Fire was released on SNES on this day in 1994, marking the series' debut in North America! Squaresoft collaborated with Capcom to bring the 1st game overseas. Pictured is a sell sheet provided to prospective retailers. Who was your ride-or-die party lineup? 🐉🐦🐺🔓🐟🐂🐍🕳️
Had all-you-can-eat sushi and sake, and I feel like that kid from Willy Wonka.

The greatest injustice in Resident Evil is Capcom Sound Team never releasing a clean version of "Terror (Darkness Lives)" aka the Resident Evil 1996 Cast Intro. I need my slap bass and Mega Man X-ass guitar MIDI soloing uninterrupted by the narrator & sound effects. www.youtube.com/watch?v=oKwd...

Can't believe it took 'em 35 freaking years to re-release Shatterhand! Coincidentally, I'm listening to a band performing the Shatterhand soundtrack right this second.
JALECOlle Famicom Ver. +α #2: Shatterhand! this game was originally dev'd by Natsume & published by Angel for Famicom as a tie-in to the tokusatsu show Solbrain, but retooled as an original game for its Jaleco-pub'd NA NES release—it's never been reissued & JP fans specifically want Shatterhand
Happy International Katt Day! Which Woren character from the Breath of Fire series is your favorite?
Just one Bandcamp Friday purchase for me today, but it's a good 'un!
I don't know about you, but I've got a craving for some shisu. A Maekyss specialty! 😋
Been going through King Crimson's discography on my lengthy commutes. The instrumental "Fracture" from Starless and Bible Black absolutely rips. youtu.be/ZaD7gk7BTwU

Went for a jog, stopped by a garage sale, and bought a book and a lemonade from a trio of girls. I'd say that fulfills my American suburbia obligations for the weekend.
I watched Taken for the first time. Now, I know the "I will find you" speech is a certified classic, but I have to also give some kudos to "I will tear down the Eiffel Tower if I have to."
Bought this FDSKey (Famicom Disk System tool) from J&T Studios over a year ago, along with a Twin Famicom adapter cable, and the thing worked for a short while and now doesn't even power on. Eff me for taking over a year to finally use it, huh?
Speaking of Mike Patton's band Tomahawk touring right now, remember when Dream Theater won a Grammy and John Petrucci walked up to the tune of "God Hates a Coward"? That was surreal.
