Breath of Fire: Ryū no Tsurishi (ブレスオブファイア竜の釣り師) was preserved by SPC! This was a keitai-exclusive Breath of Fire fishing minigame, lost to time until today. By trading in your fish, you can purchase different lures and fishing gear!

Looks like the Capcom CFC Style May 1996 Fan Club VHS is making the rounds on the internet. It's been online for a long time, but this is the 1st time somebody translated it. My favorite is this image of a Breath of Fire III programmer, seemingly running the game on some arcade dev unit???

With the latest Capcom unit sales data bump, the Breath of Fire series' lifetime 3.5 million units sold remains sandwiched between Final Fight and Sengoku Basara.

Capcom Game Series Sales Units (Millions) as of June 30, 2026. Breath of Fire's sales data is 3.5 million units sold, with Sengoku BASARA ahead of it with 4.1 million units sold and Final Fight behind it with 3.2 million units sold. The Breath of Fire series’ lifetime sales have increased from 3.3 million units sold to 3.5 million units sold, per Capcom! 💰 The 200,000 unit increase is no doubt thanks to Breath of Fire IV’s PC re-release on GOG and Steam. Keep up the good work, BoF fans! 🔥
