There is no meaningful Labour right, without millionaire funding: almost nobody likes or wants them, and only millionaires will pay

This can’t change because the current government is basically just a lot of secret bungs to fund a clandestine wrecking campaign, evolving into a full fledged machine for turning millionaire cash into policy and jobs for the lads. And any realistic rivals are a lot worse.

I genuinely don't really know how you go about drawing people like this back into some kind of consensus reality, and also whether or not it's worth the (probably) incredible effort required vs putting that to work somewhere more productive.

Suppose MSFTt wants to build another $20 billion of data centres. Under Slok's implicit model: Investors have $20bn of previously accumulated savings. MSFT competes with the Govt, utilities, other corporations, etc. for that $20bn.

But that isn't how modern monetary economies work. A #bank can grant #MSFT a $20bn loan: The deposit is created by the act of lending. There is no prior depositor whose $20bn has to be transferred to #Microsoft . That is the fundamental #endogenous -money point.

Investment does not have to wait for prior saving. Credit creation finances investment, and the resulting expenditure generates income from which saving subsequently emerges. This reverses the causality embedded in Slok's #apolloglobal framework. And there is a very #Keynesian irony here:
