People's understanding of patriarchy and feminism needs to be informed by how (cis) male peer groups are structured by misogyny is well, how (cis) male homosociality often hinges on purging, punishing and consuming the feminine. This is very much related to how they treat women and queer people.
It’s also worth noting that socialization isn’t a single discretely bounded theory or process! Different disciplines spend a lot of time investigating it in different ways! You can’t just go “socialization!” like that necessarily produces a single deterministic outcome!!!
