this has been getting some hits again on tumblr and it reminded me I never posted them here, so! first piece was inspired by a tweet from @flagmeanssteph.bsky.social, who then wrote a fic. and then she wrote a second chapter which I then drew the second piece for. inspirationception! #gentlebeard

The plant Stede looted from the fishermen in OFMD ep 1 is sitting on some kind of surface, sunlight beaming down on it. Everything else is in deep shadows, including Ed, who has his left arm resting on the surface, obscuring the lower half of his face as he looks up at the plant, tears falling from his eyes. His right hand is reaching up to gently touch one of the plant's tendrils.

The plant Stede looted from the fishermen is in the foreground, bottom right, on the window sill by the bed in Stede's cabin. Sunlight is shining upon it. In the background, deeper in the shadowy and empty cabin, Ed and Stede are kissing, arms around here. The sunlight is shining on them too.

Ed and Stede are lying in a small rowboat presumably on the ocean. The boat is covered with greenery and flowers (pinkish-white ones and smaller purple ones.) Stede is on his back, legs hooked over the boat's bench. Ed is on his side and curled into Stede, legs under the bench. fiiiiiinally finished my commission prize for #OurFlagMeansPride25! they wanted something with Ed and Stede inspired by the video for "Friend of Dorothy" by the Wiggles and Orville Peck
