I don't think people are ready for this kind of joke yet.

There's this weird culture of fear and misanthropy on social media (probably beyond) where people will think literally every single weird interaction or event is someone trying to secretly film you, kidnap you, or assault you. It's like the fear boomers have from fox news brain, but with tiktok.

The Uk has had 200 grand of petrol stolen since the war began.. I kinda forgot the UK let you pump before you pay, honestly. Thats going to end pretty sharpish.

Everyone hating on Hank green, fine, but Neil degrasse Tyson needs some hate too. I just saw a clip of him saying that "every molecule you can make with carbon you could make with silicon" And dude isn't using AI; I kinda wish he was because this is just nonsense even the robot would say is dumb

Not for nothing but I'm reading a paper from 2010 which has a citation with the wrong DOI, so the idea of incorrect referencing is not a new problem or unique to AI.

Every now and then I fall into an existential crisis thinking about caterpillars turning into butterflies and I have a manic few hours trying to understand *how* and *why* everything. A few years ago, it was "Does a butterfly remember being a caterpillar?" [answer: yea, kinda, partially]

We have a written constitution. It is laws and judgements. [We do not have a single, codified constitution - but that will never happen unless we change the whole thing - e.g. reform the whole UK through a federal government... Simple devolution doesnt need it]

I have started running Claude alongside the book I am writing on ants, as well as just letting Google Gemini do its thing at the top when I do Google search. It is not doing any writing I am using, and I am always checking the results against primary sources.

It is illegal, and in any normal time it would be prosecuted. Like the copyright-theft at a scale never before possible or imagined, it is and was illegal.

If we wanted to build a new society and a new internet which was safe from AI, like - treat AI as a pathogen, like phylloxera or plague or leprosy -- do you think it's even possible? I wonder if a whole new internet, a whole new computer architecture would need to be invented.
