Hockey, dogs, science, watches, chess, spreadsheets, music.

My personal opinion is that it’s bad for us all that it’s so difficult to both use social media and also avoid involuntarily seeing videos of people dying.

Thank you to the fired-up folks of Normal Women Rising for having me at their monthly meeting! I enjoyed talking about why I stepped up to fight for a new direction for our country, the values driving our campaign, and how we can build a better future for our kids and grandkids.

Great meeting with the Jo Daviess County Farm Bureau. We need to take on consolidation, lower input costs, secure Right to Repair, and ensure farmers get a fair price. Rural communities shouldn’t pay the price for reckless trade and foreign policy made by people disconnected from the consequences.

You and I — all of us taxpayers — funded this $533 million artillery plant outside of Dallas. It hasn’t produced a single usable shell. Yet the defense contractor, General Dynamics, has never been held publicly accountable. Nor has it had to pay a penny back… 1/

Democrats are uniting around primary winners. That's the reality. Don't let the oligarch-owned corporate media tell you there's some kind of "war" between the left and the center. They are dividing their opposition. The reality is unity. Ignore the rich people trying to convince you otherwise.

This is the bare truth. Every second of this. This idea needs to break through to the mainstream, and I'm not sure it will; propaganda is extremely difficult to be heard over. But if it did, well, that would be a very good thing.

Normally I just appreciatively read @jamellebouie.net 's columns-sharable video content just isn't my bag. But this is a very, very, very trenchant piece of commentary that captures a lot of how I increasingly understand the disjunction between the commentary environment and on-the-ground politics.
