This is all downstream of the fact that BNA makes the majority of its revenue from parking & rideshare. To them, every busrider is $5 lost revenue. We have to change the incentives if you want the Authority run different. Obviously, that's very hard now that it is under state control.
water567891011.bsky.social@water567891011.bsky.social · 3w agoIt is borderline insulting how BNA hides the WeGo Route 18 bus stop in the very back of the garage as far away as possible from the entrance/exit. And they could fix it tomorrow by just moving the sign. There is an entire unused curb that has benches, shelter, and is visible from the door.
Okay tonight a bus just blew right past me at the same spot. I chased until Jefferson but bus just kept going. It’s like they don’t want people on the bus.

Last night our school (Inglewood) had some MNPD folks at our PTA meeting to discuss crossing guards. Current operating procedure when determining if a crossing guard is to observe if there are any students crossing without guardians. It's a chicken/egg situation.
