I don't usually give credit to Trump. But you have to admire the degree to which he found absolutely the worst, least qualified, most dangerous people possible to fill his cabinet and other senior administration positions. It can't have been easy.

The vandalism and desecration of the White House isn't just vanity and it's not trivial. It's caesarism, as in literally what Julius Caesar did to the symbolic architecture of civic republicanism. Our national iconography matters and allowing the disfiguring of it to persist is a substantive harm.
