I find myself drawn into skeletal structures pretty regularly. There's just something about bones. Perhaps it's because I grew up around my mother's (biology teacher) skeleton collection? . Throwback Detail of "Ancestor's Cove" (2024)

summer is winding down which means my art brain is like a chained feral dog knowing I'll finally have time to be creative. I bought too much off of blick for my birthday, but I can't wait to explore traditional art with it this winter.

yay trying to quit nicotine again. I feel good about it! Just gonna let myself eat like trash for a few days. I've quit cold turkey before so no reason I can't do it again!
spent days working on a little sculpey sculpt. sanded em down and painted them. tried using a UV resin for a shiny finish coat and the bitch will NOT cure >: I didn't even know that stuff went bad?? Sitting in the window for nearly 24 hours and its still wet in places, not tacky, but wet.
