Still astounds me that the Federal basic wage in the U.S hasn't been raised since July 2009... 17 years go. Still $7.25 per hour. (In some states $15 or above.) Australia's latest national minimum wage is $26.44 per hour or $1,004.90 per week... as of 1 July 2026.

Jane Hume can piss off. The Australian taxpayer has been subsidising these huge utes to the tune of many millions per annum. Most of these behemoths aren't being used for commercial reasons. They increase road wear and tear, impact air quality, and are dangerous to other road users. More EVs!

Because 'the military' have developed a culturally protected awe within many societies. We don't scrutinise the enormous harms, waste & cost of their weapons, we don't doubt we should use them instead of diplomacy all we're easily manipulated by fear & the sometimes contrived threat of 'them'.

I’m appalled that people thought it smart to boo Welcome to Country ceremonies at Anzac Day dawn services. I especially acknowledge Bunurong elder Mark Brown who welcomed us cartoonists at our conference in St Kilda a few years ago. He is decent, kind man who deserves respect. I am so sorry.

I’m just going to say this. I am sick and tired of people commenting irrelevant shit regarding the Canadian ad, and Reagan’s speech on tariffs. “Reagan was this that and the other…” Yeah, we fucking know. But that isn’t the point of what we’re talking about. So just stop it!
