All of the ballot initiatives that are solely targeting trans rights are passing. MO’s anti-trans Amendment 3 is failing because it’s tied to abortion rights. But WA I-638, AZ Prop 318, CO Prop 134 & 135, and NE I-422 are all passing. And cis Democrats are taking a victory lap with pronoun jokes.

It's interesting that AO3 is down for such a lengthy stretch during what's arguably the most consumption-oriented/extractive era in fanfic's history. People dumping thousands of fics on gdrive are being hailed as heroes, drowning out fic writers saying, I didn't consent to be *republished* there.

Just when I thought Etsy was turning a corner by trimming AI content on the site, they issue a new Terms of Use (starting Dec 16) which grants them & their vendors rights "to use Your Content to develop, train, test and improve AI." Could not find an opt out to this in their privacy settings.

Today, we're sharing a few updates that go into effect on December 16, 2026."The new terms and conditions from Etsy, section 5c: "C. Rights You Grant Etsy. (Here’s the legalese version of the last section). By posting Your Content, you grant Etsy and, as authorized by Etsy in its sole discretion, third parties, a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free, irrevocable, sub-licensable, perpetual license to use, display, edit, modify, reproduce, distribute, store, and prepare derivative works from Your Content.
