Does anyone know a way to export a Visio floorplan to something to render it in partial 3D, Isometric or into a full 3D program? I assume being MS it's rancidly proprietary as a file format. #RPGmapping

I am a small irish devil who makes poor art with my stubby hopeless fingers. I also like RPGs that don't exist. 🌉 bridged from ⁂ https://dice.camp/@Printdevil, follow @ap.brid.gy to interact
Robert Holdstock as pictured on the cover of the 1984 bookclub edition of Mythago Wood looked exactly like 74% of RPG gamers of the same era.
There are in mapping programs now a lot of faq blogposts along the lines of "Do we use Ai in MapBoardBoom?" "The answer is no, except in the library assets, the brushes and some of the templates - if you have an issue with ai don't use those"
@vortiwife This is an example of what I mean about CC licensing, if you don't know what these are to begin with, are you really going to look through how they vary?
@Taskerland Oddly though, this is perfectly acceptable for some reason to me as headed prop stuff. I am a complete hypocaust. *steam steam*
I got brand new glasses for monitor work and now I can see all the seams in my photobashing and montage works oh noes
I got the Thomas Cook "Egypt, the Nile and Palestine - Season 1928-1929" (and it was not cheap), but the section on Nile paddle steamers would immediately start re-reading the Agatha Christies. The issue now is how to scan a book that is both very very stiff and utterly friable. #scanning
This is the most Scarfolk looking book cover for a real book. http://www.papergreat.com/2026/08/book-cover-ghost-hunters-road-book.html
Someone has put Rubric's hair up in a top knot. She looks like something from the Dogtanian version of Yojimbo
[Mention of Ai apartment dwellings with ill positioned windows] Far Far Far be it for me to suggestion this floorplan to isometric app might be using AI to cheat... but what the absolute fuck... Did it just design some weird Onlyfans house?
I wonder how many life-event organisation programs are really just for gamers to plot detective murder games
True stories of the last ten minutes In a particularly dystopian plotline how the world ended... I just did a net search for "isometric tools for sci-fi games" and the top response was CRISPR "I was just making this xenomorphic killer stat block for my map and everything went wrong..." […]

"I was just sitting in my Owlery waiting for Barns to be invented when a fuc.. ing bat smashed through the window, and I realised that authors are a cowardly superstitious lot so I decided I should become.. the BATSOWL... and atone. God I hate J K Rowling..." […] [Original post on dice.camp]
Travis Lawrence Pillars (tarot adjacent deck) fits the Helix Geometry Tools Tin perfectly. And elegantly.
STONE game layout for agnostic description does not have stat blocks, It has obviously STONE blocks. *clappy clappy hands with delight* #BOKsystem
You don't actually know how useful these are till you don't have one to hand.
"But But, we were prepped for Call of Cthulhu.. it's the thirties" stomp stomp I think this entire story was later stolen by IPC and sold as "the Smasher" (featuring the UK Doctor Doom. Who was just a bloke with a beard)
Does anyone know if Photoshop has started using generative Ai by default in resizing? I know it's not the popular tool around Masto, but I'm getting a lot of weird lags and pixel degenerations when resizing I'm not used to - even when all the ai stuff switched off. I wonder is beta version […]

Hohngelächter was the expression I wanted to use in reference to the theme music of "Why don't you" but I couldn't remember it and now I'm just standing half way down the stairs remembering it. #l'esprit d'escalier
You know back in the 1970s the English returned to school after the summer holidays a week later than in Northern Ireland, and thus we never saw the last episodes of Belle and Sebastian, Robinson Crusoe, White Horses, and more importantly The Flashing Blade. This was rectified via reruns in the […]

I wonder if a "folk tale collection" for #dnd / #pathfinder would sell. I.e. a collection of "folk tales" set in a fantasy world which would revolve around assorted supernatural creatures or phenomena that appear in such a setting.
UK crafters, what's replacing Etsy for you given the fees and other troubles? My daughter wants to sell hand crafted sea glass cards of stuff (ok monsters) I've told her RPGers will basically throw money at her for anything with cthulhu on it. Actually I might have said "Take my bottlecaps" but […]

Musk was humiliated in his interview with The Economist editor Zanny Minton Beddoes. She called him out on his bullshit, pointed out his lies and ignorance and extreme prejudice. We need more interviews like that. This is the response of the world’s thinnest-skinned man.
