i actually read one of those stories recently where the author proudly proclaims that their characters always communicate like healthy adults. (it was a webcomic, but that's still reading.) the overall plot was fine but the interpersonal dynamics bored me to tears. whoops.

Reminder to self: Fellow artist aren't your competition. They are a part of your community. Don't compare your work to others because they can not do what you do for what you make. Your stories are valuable. Your art is valuable.

I need all artists to know that using 3D models in your art is not cheating. Those free-to-use 3D models are literally there to make your life easier. Stop being so hard on yourself and just trace that 3D object. You don't need to be able to perfectly draw every object ever from memory!!

I think we could do with a little less "Don't worry, I'm allowed to make this art because I'm traumatized in these ways." and a lot more "Don't worry, I'm allowed to make this art because I'm allowed to make any art. And also, it's none of your fucking business whether or not I am traumatized."
