Finally back home after 4 straight weeks of travel. My summer adventures aren't entirely over... but from now on the trips will be relatively short and to places not so far away.

A small raccoon in a big universe! I study exploding stars in distant galaxies by night and explore our home planet by day. 🇺🇸 in 🇬🇧, ♠️, 43, he/him/etc
Vancouver was really nice, as usual - wish I could visit more often. For now though, it's finally time to fly home!
Back in Vancouver again, where this trip started! Hard to believe that it was only a 18 days ago that I was last here, considering everywhere I've been since...
After an incredible vacation in the Arctic, it's finally time to begin the (slow) journey towards home. An amazing trip - hope to be back again someday :)
And this is as far as it goes - Tuktoyaktuk, on the Arctic coast (69.44°N)
Made it to Inuvik, NWT, the end of the Dempster Highway. Hanging out here with @km251lynx.bsky.social for a couple days waiting for the weather to clear before heading even further north!
Backpacking trip complete! It rained almost the whole time (and even snowed a bit). It was gorgeous and I got loads of photos, here is a random selection!
Off to the Yukon wilderness! Back in a few days (and its looking like I'll probably be a very wet raccoon by then...)
Very brief visit to Pasadena this year! Now sitting at an airport bar, watching the World Cup and hoping my flight is delayed...
Flights along the Pacific Coast are so beautiful (and even LA looked beautiful from the air today, somehow)
I have been blessed by a visit from a neighbor on the last day of my stay in Vancouver
Marseille was nice but it's been 35+°C all week (and 39° yesterday) and I am looking forward to leaving this heat behind, even if it involves waking up at 4am!
Packing for a conference, a wedding, a furry con, and a wilderness backpacking trip all at the same time... feels rather disorienting! (The events aren't all at the same time, just the packing - I'm doing all of these things one after another in sequence over the next few weeks.)
This place really seems like it's a lot more fun if you're a duck
