Numbers we'd like to see come down: - People dying in the channel - Children traumatised by violent border enforcement - People unable to return to work due to the damage of the asylum work ban Numbers our Government won't even count, while the media obsesses over how many people survive crossings.

'For the third time of asking, will you be able to say that the numbers have come down?' Home Secretary Yvette Cooper is working to tackle migrant crossings, but stops short of confirming for Nick Ferrari if they will actually fall in the next year.

Today Yvette Cooper said she wants to criminalise people crossing the Channel "to keep children safe". She clearly hasn't read our report! Our research shows how increased securitization of the UK France border doesn't keep children safe, it puts them in danger 👇

"[The police] bring out the knives and pepper spray, then guns... I’m only a child. Why are you doing this?” Every day we see the UK and France pursuing policies which not only fail to protect children's rights, but actively threaten and undermine them 👇 www.theguardian.com/uk-news/2025...
