tomorrow, after work, @protobase.at. i'll be inviting a couple lucky peeps, you'll have full access, i just ask you do pds provisioning and onboarding, see if theres any hiccups along the way and message me on signal if you find issues. big or small. whos up for it? let me see hands. 🙋🏽‍♂️

The amount of work I put in to just have a nice way to host an @offprint.app branded PDS is crazy. It's almost ready for you all to start breaking it in private beta. But you've all been waiting patiently, mostly... So heres a peek at the server provisioning flow.

Good question, it entirely depends on the target audience of your project. If you’re creating a tool for atproto users, you probably don’t need to host a PDS. If you’re building an app that just so happens to be on atproto, but may be used by anyone. You might want a branded PDS.

Good question! So we are looking into ways of implementing some moderation services that integrate with moderation labelers like Skywatch to help detect, and takedown accounts. These tools will be tunable by admins. Also…

Hey @protobase.at, one thing I’m a little nervous about with per-account billing is spammer accounts. What kind of protection do you think you’ll provide? (Both in terms of preventing ecosystem spam & wasted fees)

Finished up the landing page for those curious to learn more about Protobase and it's offerings. Added a waitlist, give any suggestions or ask any questions if things aren't clear enough. Pricing is not set in stone, but it will start at $19/mo for 100 accounts. 📮 Join the waitlist → protobase.at

it's coming sooner, rather than later. follow along. protobase is a b2b pds saas, going to make it possible for application developers to easily spin up a pds in minutes

pds as a service almost ready. federation working, account creation working, just need to test custom domains next (probably the most important part) the site is not ready, it'll just 404 if you try to access it. but follow @protobase.at to keep up now that it's really happening
