You can log on to Bluesky where the Classicists, Archaeologists, Historians, and Culture critics are all yelling at one another about The Odyssey you can log on to X where people are debating if women are "real people"

Current project at around 22k words, with a couple of chapters (maybe 2-4k) remaining. This will put it longer than *The Great God Pan* (22k) and *The Poor Clare* (23k), but probably a touch shorter than *Carmilla* (28k). I think it's pretty good, too bad novellas are so hard to sell!

Rep. Aisha Gomez: “To look at people standing up against ICE and see ‘paid protesters’ says nothing about us and everything about you.” “That you cannot conceive of us loving our neighbors so much that we would actually do something for them.”

Why would I ever get a PS6? -No disks, making dozens of my ps4 and ps5 games unplayable on it -Going to be $1k, probably -They wasted this whole generation chasing the live service dragon, so good new releases have been rare -They still charge $ for online play in the year of our God of War 2026

One of the best things about having started to write again is that I've gotten back into frequent contact with my grad school bestie, also a writer. We've been giving each other notes on the work, and just talking about music and life and whatever. It's been really great. Missed that kid.

I don't drink a lot anymore, a combination of an attempt to get healthier and being on buproprion, which isn't a good mix I had a single 16oz 10% alcohol beer at a party on Saturday, and as always, got a little spin-y chatty loud At one point I believe I said "FUCK THE ATLANTIC!" I stand by it

Well, the current project is officially the longest piece of fiction I've ever written. This isn't saying much, since I'm still shy of 10,000 words, but progress is being made, and we're probably looking at novellete/novella length (hopefully the latter).

My cab driver in Staten Island was a Reagan-Bush-Bush-Dole-Bush-Bush-McCain-Romney-Trump-Trump-Trump voter. He said that by nominating Mamdani-aligned candidates, Democrats had just thrown away any shot at getting his vote.
