I usually take great enjoyment in watching language evolve, but the suffix "-maxxing" is pure nails-on-a-chalkboard.

Kevin McCarthy on Platner Allegations: That one thing I know about Republicans is when we had a very bad candidate, we didn't vote for that person. We walked away.

Now comes the part where people who voted for Trump shake their heads and say "tsk tsk" that someone as awful as Platner garnered so much support. The Dem political/punditry machine took too damn long to correct itself, but at least it finally did. Can't exactly say the same thing for Republicans.

Yesterday's @merriam-webster.com Word of the Day was WIFTY. I had an idea for a puzzle but didn't have the time to throw it together. But here we are at last! In each row, replace each word with a rhyme to make a three-word movie title.
