Hay hay all... I am thinking I might be post less and just try make more of SOE rather than post samy stuff more and more... so updates are gonna get slower, but the project is still very much alive! #Indiedev

Hay hay! 👋 Hey hey! 👋 Just another day clobbering imps while I tweak SOE 😅 Quick Q: when you explore a game, what sticks with you more, music or visuals? A killer score can totally flip a location; I remember some worlds mostly by their tunes 🎵 #GameMusic #Gaming

Hay hay! ✨ Finally got one enemy behaving how I wanted 👀 Thinking of adding reaction animations to show mood, and a dev suggested making hats react too, sounds fun 😄 Once foes do more than "walk" and "punch," you notice how much the player needs tweaking 😂 Game dev never ends. #GameDev #IndieGame

Hay hay! ✨ Hay hay! ✨ I wanted to keep movement while casting spells. The old system forced walking through inputs and felt clunky 😅 Now Mandy can move while prepping spells, so combat stays fluid. Small tweaks matter. #GameDesign #GameFeel

Hay hay! 👋 Making a hack 'n' slash taught me how many tiny systems must sync to make players feel powerful. It’s rarely one feature, dozens of small mechanics shape combat. SOE is slowly getting there! ⚔️✨ What moves make you grin. launchers, parries, finishers, or air combos? #IndieGame #SoloDev

I've been adding more personality to enemy types, not by upping AI, but via tiny reactions: surprised looks, panics when low on HP, and context-sensitive behaviors. Still tweaking and loving it. Enjoy the debug dump 😂 What makes enemies feel alive to you? #EnemyDesign #GameFeel

Hay hay! 👋 Hey 👋 I talked with other devs and had an idea for SOE's Magic Maker ✨ Instead of racing to enter a spell code, hold the input, take your time, and cast when ready. More fun imagine mixing runes to discover useful spells. Really excited! #MagicSystem #GameDev

Learned “vibe coding” saw it at work 😅 Genuine question: how do you fix or expand something you don't understand? I use AI for boring stuff: examples or to tidy my cursed C++ header. AI speeds typing and learning, but build the whole game? Not sure 👀 #Programming #Cpp #IndieDev

I'd rather fade into obscurity and make zero cash than wake up to vids called "SOE: the crappy DMC clone" 😭 Stylish combat inspires me, but I want SOE to feel like its own strange little game. What makes an action game memorable to you? #ActionGames #IndieGaming

There's something magical about pure baked lighting ✨ especially at night. The soft glow and cosy little pools of light just give it a vibe 😅 Maybe I'm old-fashioned. Which game's nighttime atmosphere is your favourite? 🌙 #IndieDev #Atmosphere

Not a flashy update, but I improved SOE's... *odd limbs* Rigging custom animations for every tail, tentacle, scarf, or claw was a pain, so I built an Unreal tool, tweak animations in‑engine, It’s made creating those attacks much easier. here's a imp's tail poke :p #IndieDev #UE5

Hey! Quick SOE update: I’ve refined the lock-on camera, much smoother, far less clipping. and snuck in a bunch of QoL tweaks. Going full C++ made Unreal click; big changes feel easier. SOE’s turning into my Sly Cooper x Devil May Cry mashup. More soon ✨ #IndieGame

SOE is going really well though! The Sly-inspired movement is finally feeling good and the gameplay bugs are basically gone ✨ Ignore Rogue's leg freaking out. He has an itch. What do you think about Unreal 6? I still think UE4 was the sweet spot 🤔 #UE5 #3DPlatformer #GameDev
