I wonder how easier it is to in passes. As in: lineart > flats > layer of primary shadows > mid tones > AO > etc... And not like me, where i finish flats and have to sit there and grind over each part of my drawing, until it looks passable enough

Assets that I made for the 2024 Roguelike Celebration Steam sale page. 🧑🎨 The tallish tile size here I'm very fond of. I choose it because it reminds me of the tall grid often in ASCII roguelikes, but it also had some benefits when it came to actually draw the tiles & sprites.
