Cory Hanson looks like a 90s GAP model, sings like Gram, plays guitar like SRV raised on SST records, flies around the stage like prime DLR and pens Bermanesque lyrics. He's the real deal, what Ryan Adams dreams he coulda been. Always leave his shows astounded & wishing more folks were there.

So glad it's there cuz the last two times it was downtown at the Marquis which sucks the Big Felota. He's also opening and playing his fantastic solo record Western Cum. Watched John Lilly and the Earth Coincidence Control Office (2025) doc and boy do we really need more trust funders doing drugs and trying to talk to dolphins as opposed to crypto grifting & data centers. Lilly is an interesting and bizarre cat, who overlapped counterculture a lot in 60's & 70's.
