This was the point I decided I need to do something. It has taken 1 year for us to create a social housing scheme for trans and non-binary people in the UK. Our next step is to grow our offering of properties, including properties in Ireland. I need all the help I can get. @essehouse.bsky.social

I'm in group chats where trans people without the funds in America are debating whether to try and walk into Canada as illegal immigrants and just roll the dice they'll be safe and welcome. It's vital that we have a network in place in the UK before we need it.

I'm not against poor people having better access to food, my only concern is that 5 city run grocery stores are going to put 5000 supermarkets and 10,000 bodegas out of business by selling discounted eggs

Let me say this clearly. If you believe the US was once a force for good, you have been successfully propagandized. The US has never been motivated by social good and has worked tirelessly for the opposite to benefit a handful of people you rarely see in the news.

Still looking at bills, car repair, and surprisingly high moving truck cost in addition to normal food/medicine/gas stuff over the next few weeks. If we can do okay until September, it looks like All This will finally be done and better times will start. Thank you, everyone!

Your lack of imagination, insight, empathy & compassion isn't anyone's problem but your own. People with less privelege or born outside the US shouldn't suffer just because YOU couldn't be bothered to contemplate alternative perspectives & circumstances. "Hard facts" are intellectually lazy.

We are on the same side, actually. I just have to draw the line, like any sane adult does, at the idea that our society would possibly continue to exist or function with absolutely NO police or military. That's just smoking crack levels of insane naiveté, to be tough-love honest. That's a hard fact.
