CLP – Main was Andrew Carnegie’s original library gift to the City of Pittsburgh, and it shared space with the Carnegie Institute’s museum. It was dedicated on November 5, 1895, in the Music Hall by Mr. Carnegie clp125.org

Kilkenny Carnegie was over-priced, included an ‘unapproved gym’, an ‘unnecessary object’ on the roof, too high solicitors’ fees and a crest for Lady Desart all to be at Carnegie’s expense! Not a happy 1904 gift! #IrishCarnegies
In the old days (hurrah for the hourly @Enterprise!), I used to go early to buy a ticket from a kiosk, buy all the newspapers to read, and buy a large coffee, then check the planned bus replacements…
