Once upon a time, before 9/11, I used to like going to airports just to hang out. While expensive, the usually had neat shops, food and odd museum displays outside gates. TSA ended all that in American airports and any airport with a USA-bound flight. Train stations still retain that charm to me.

Kelvin-Helmholtz instabilities confirmed on sun thru observation of solar surface for first time. Always neat to see learn about stuff in the wild that I initially learned about in a nuclear weapons context (KHI). Also, a good chunk of weapons physicists were astrophysicists.

Those few on here that know me know that the climate crisis has long been a top issue for me. I’d argue it’s the root of nearly all our problems like scarcity & high prices, health issues, tilt towards authoritarians, over-reliance on tech, emergence of stupid parts of religion, and more.

We must keep this issue, namely the fossil fuel heating problem in our sights. Remind Congress. I don’t care if it’s a ‘losing campaign issue’ it needs to be said. 202-224-3121 Use @resist.bot to send emails and faxes direct. Or text ‘sign PGOBBB’ to 50409 resist.bot/petitions/PG...
