Fascinating and important research by Andy Summers and co at LSE. Public perception that super rich will leave if taxes rise is based on a very biased signal from a tiny number who threaten to leave. The majority would never leave NY, London, Paris etc www.ft.com/content/4232...

In our paper, we adapt @joannapepin.bsky.social's visualization of U.S. couples' money arrangements to the German context. Using German Family Panel data, we show how these arrangements vary by cohort and age group. Replication files + high-res plot: github.com/maraab23/Cou... #FReDA #pairfam

A plot illustrating cohort and age group differences in partnership and money arrangements among couples in Germany using data from the German Family Panel. The weighted distributions are shown as tile plots. Across cohorts, the share of couples that put all money together is decreasing.
