I wish the reporter had expiunded on the differences between the organizations’ AI stances. NCTE, for example, has partnered with Google, while CCCC has started recognizing a range of student and teacher responses, including refusal.
"On July 15, the CCCC executive committee presented cuts to NCTE that closed the budget gap, but 'that was not acceptable,' the source said." Anyone not bound by an NDA able able to explain this?

why not include the data on “declining participation” @ncte.org ?
it seems like @ncte.org will now be unimpeded in their delirious pro-AI pursuits now that they destroyed CCCC, which actually hosted rigorous conversations not about how to use AI but is ethical use even possible. so yay for them.
